Illinois is considered a sanctuary state. This means law enforcement officers are barred from arresting people based on immigration status. This makes the state a haven for criminal aliens.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker told MSNBC that “he was ‘going to do everything [he could] to protect our undocumented immigrants’, arguing the president-elect’s then-nascent ‘mass deportation plan looks like it may be unconstitutional’, while warning that he and other like-minded governors had attorneys general ready to push back.”

This is more than enough evidence that proves just how much his pro-illegal immigration policies fuel the worst criminals to take up residence in his state. This is also why it is both bizarre and disingenuous to claim it is Trump’s fault that an illegal alien, “Jose Medina-Medina, a Venezuelan criminal, was arrested for killing 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman in Chicago, Illinois.”

According to local reports, 18-year-old Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman was shot and killed on Thursday morning around 1:00 am while she was walking in a park with friends. Medina-Medina is accused of approaching her while wearing a mask and armed with a gun. As she attempted to flee, he fired his gun and shot her. Gorman was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.

On May 9, 2023, Medina-Medina was apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol and released into the country under the Biden administration. He was then released again on June 19, 2023, following an arrest for shoplifting in Chicago, Illinois.

Let us get this straight. The suspect entered this country under the Biden Regime. He was arrested in Chicago for shoplifting, yet he was not deported. In fact, he was released, despite the fact that he committed a crime post facto. Had the city or state taken his crime seriously, the victim would be alive today. And the fact that Pritzker is blaming Trump for this when it was his state's sanctuary laws and soft-on-crime policies that resulted in this man being here in the first place is deeply deranged.

We can blame a lot of people for what happened to Sheridan Gorman, and that includes Pritzker. His trying to assign blame to Trump for not deporting him before the crime deeply misses the mark, especially because both state and local officials have done everything in their power to prevent Trump from his mass deportation efforts.

This might be the dumbest lie Pritzker has ever said, as he has no one to blame but HIMSELF.
