Justice has been served.
A Dallas man has been arrested after he tried repainting a rainbow crosswalk “after the city began removing 30 decorative crosswalks to comply with a TxDOT order labeling them ‘political messaging’ and a driver distraction.”
According to Fox 4:
A man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he was caught repainting a rainbow crosswalk in the Oak Lawn neighborhood, just one day after the city began removing the displays to comply with a state mandate.
Dallas police said 25-year-old Joseph Whiteside was spotted around 3:30 a.m. near Cedar Springs Road and Knight Street.
Officers found him with a bag of paint and chalk. He had reportedly outlined a rainbow and planned to fill it in with chalk.
It is unclear why the city felt it was necessary to affirm people's bedroom preferences on public streets, but at least the state put an end to this nonsense.
Last year, Gov. Greg Abbott called for the removal of "decorative designs" on public roadways, labeling them "political messaging" and a distraction to drivers. Abbott threatened to withhold state funding from cities that did not comply.
According to the outlet, the LGBT community spent $100,000 to paint the crosswalk, which has caused outrage among leftists as they believe they wasted all this money just for the state to not affirm their feelings. Or, in other words, this is nothing more than a personal problem for the left.
Typically, stories like this are about someone getting arrested for driving through a gay crosswalk. That is why it sure is satisfying when justice is served in the other direction. While it is clear that the left is prideful over their bedroom preferences, this is not something people appreciate on public streets. And the fact that it took them $100,000 to realize that is deeply pathetic.
