Representative Troy Nehls (R-TX) took to Twitter today, writing a long thread alleging that the Capitol Police Investigation Division has illegally entered his office and taken photographs of confidential legislative documents. This would be one helluva claim to make without a witness. Luckily, one of his staffers caught them doing it!

Article 1, Section 6 of the U.S. Constitution states: “They [Senators and Representatives] shall in all cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.” [Emphasis added]

Absolutely none of this surprises me. Everything about the handling of January 6 has been shady. The people accused of rioting and breaking into the Capitol Building have been treated terribly, far worse than any of the actual BLM and Antifa terrorists who literally burned cities to the ground. There are even reasons to believe the federal government had a role in inciting the events of that day, see Epps, Ray (who had a congressman come to his defense in the dumbest possible fashion).

Personally, I think the January 6 Committee is just a way for the Democrats to crucify people they don’t like. What do you think? And what do you think of yet another group of federal law enforcement officers acting like the Gestapo for the Democratic Party?
