After what feels like 37 years since Trump was elected, everyone goes back to the polls to render their decision of his presidency thus far. It all depends what poll you last read. According to this CNN reporter, no one knows what the hell is going to happen tonight.

Love him or hate him, Donald Trump disrupted US politics. It will take a few election cycles to make sense of who makes up the new electorate. Talk to people in the know, they'll say the electorate's identity shifts week to week.

In other words:

Three possible scenarios:

Republicans lose the house/keep the Senate: In my opinion, the most plausible, as it's usually the result after two years of a new president: the opposition party picks up some more power. It's a natural check. The blue wave in this scenario is more of a ripple. The small kind like when you skip rocks in a lake, not a ripple after you shove your overweight cousin off a cliff for funsies.

Democrats win the House and the Senate: If this plays out, conservatives need to consider two things. Maybe a President of the United States acting (tweeting) like an @$$hole is detrimental to his agenda. Two, spend more time pushing the small government agenda, less time allowing liberals to run the show.

Republicans remain in power: If this scenario plays out, I plan on staying drunk for the rest of the week to reach peak enjoyment. Take the liberal meltdowns of 2016, wrap them in bacon, dip them in chocolate, add a scoop of ice cream on top. The leftist meltdowns will be so rich we all may succumb to diabetic comas. It's the scenario we're all hoping for, at least. Right up there with Nancy Pelosi being deported in the new reality show: Losers are Fired and Frankly Deported.
