For far too long, Los Angeles officials have turned a blind eye to the rampant theft and burglary epidemic that is plaguing the once-great city. Because these people cannot be bothered to do the bare minimum of their job, which is to uphold public safety, residents had no choice but to take matters into their own hands. It turns out, though, you can't do that under communist rule.

City authorities are going after some Los Angeles homeowners and demanding they remove their warning signs after dealing with break-ins by South American gangs.
According to the New York Post:
Neighbors in Valley Glen in the San Fernando Valley put up 22 signs, infrared license plate readers and video recorders amid a spate of break-ins by South American gangs.
Debbie Stopeck told the California Post there were 26 incidents between November 2024 and April 2025 – but the wave suddenly stopped when they erected the equipment.
The 65-year-old retiree said: “We are taking back the streets. We are taking back the power. Last year, my neighbor’s teenage daughter was too scared to go to school because their home was broken into. Everything was stolen from them.
Rather than do everything in their power to protect residents, they found it easier to make the victims the problem. The issue at hand, according to city authorities, is not that South American gangs are terrorizing Americans — it’s that residents have broken city codes by placing signs on public utility poles.
You really cannot make up that level of insanity.
But nit-picking local officials with the LA Department of Transportation have told residents the signs installed on city utility poles break city codes and are illegal.
Last time I checked, repeated burglaries and grand theft were also illegal. It’s astonishing the type of priorities officials choose to focus on. Residents did what needed to be done to protect their community and families. The city, however, did not like that. This is because, in Progressive La La Land, victims are often turned into the criminals while thugs are given free rein to terrorize innocent people.
Maybe one day the city will perform its most basic duties of local governance, but until then, they have proven just who they intend to protect — and it certainly is not the ones they are elected to represent.
