NYC Hospital Ends Gender Treatment For Kids After Risk Of Losing Federal Funding

A New York City hospital has stopped its treatment program for kids suffering from gender dysphoria. While that is an objectively good thing, the first problem is that it had to be done in the first place. The second problem is that they did not do so out of the kindness of their heart, but because they feared losing federal funding.

According to the New York Post:
NYU Langone Health, a major Manhattan hospital, will permanently ax its transgender treatment program for kids after the Trump administration threatened to pull federal funding.
The hospital is discontinuing the program that offered gender-related care for minors — blaming the move, in part, on the “current regulatory environment.”
They could have lied and claimed they were doing this because it was the right thing to do, but they had to affirm to the left that they are still all in it to trans the kids. So, it’s safe to assume that had Kamala been elected, they would have doubled down on these programs, despite the catastrophic harm to children.
“Given the recent departure of our medical director, coupled with the current regulatory environment, we made the difficult decision to discontinue our Transgender Youth Health Program,” a NYU Langone spokesman told The Post in a statement Wednesday.
“We are committed to helping patients in our care manage this change. This does not impact our pediatric mental health care programs, which will continue.”
If they were truly all in it to help these vulnerable patients, they would keep the program, despite the funding loss. This, however, was never about helping people. It was about the financial incentive, despite the damage it caused. That is not medicine; it is a direct attack on this nation's children, and history will not look kindly on the Frankenstein doctors who participated in this butchery.
