NEW: Canada's top general, Jennie Carignan, starts crying as she apologizes for "systemic racism."
At one point during her speech, it sounded like someone was weeping in the background as well.

On behalf of the Canadian Armed Forces, Jennie Carignan, Canada's top general, would like to apologize for the country's alleged systemic racism that she failed to accurately convey, as she burst into crocodile tears.
And to say that our northern neighbors have officially lost it would be an understatement. At this point, all we can do is keep them in our prayers.
According to Juno News:
CAF Chief of Staff Gen. Jennie Carignan and Chief Warrant Officer Bob McCann issued the apology in Ottawa on Thursday.
“For way too long, First Nations, Inuit, Métis, Black, Asian and other racialized members of the CAF faced systemic barriers that limited their ability to serve, contribute and thrive as equal members and too often mistreated and even abused at the hands of their fellow members,” Carignan said, tearing up.
Is she even going to back up that statement with any evidence? Or is she going to make foolish claims like that without an ounce of proof? Because if you are going to accuse members of such evil acts, the least she can do is back it up. But she won't — as she would much rather blame invisible people and turn other invisible people into victims. Makes sense, doesn't it?

“I acknowledge we failed you… We didn’t create an environment where you could serve your country to the highest level with pride and determination and I’m sorry for the silence, indifference and that this went on for years.”
Again, who is “you?”
She added that the CAF remains committed to eliminating systemic barriers through “a difficult journey of reflection, self-awareness, of understanding and allyship.”
“Racism has no place in the CAF. It cannot be tolerated and it has no place in our future,” Carignan said.
Wow. This fake promise of “a difficult journey of reflection, self-awareness, understanding, and allyship” will do so much for the CAF. Wow. Incredible. I can't wait to see what will come of this.
I am seriously glad that the CAF has finally promised to get rid of this invisible racism going on. Now that they have atoned for their sins, can they, going forward, please, only apologize for things that actually happened? Because I am really getting irritated by officials crying crocodile tears for ambiguous accusations that don't mean anything. But maybe I am in the minority on that. Nonetheless, as previously mentioned, the only thing we can do at this point is keep our northern neighbors in our prayers.
