CEO Gerald Morgan congratulates others' sudden realization they can't play nice with Big Tech: "We've been doing it for years"
Over the last several months, a number of organizations have claimed that they are being screwed by big tech, and rather than be dependent on tech overlords, some outlets have made some big changes to avoid the censorship that comes from relying on advertising.
In the last couple of days, we have even heard that some are transitioning to an ad-free, subscription-only model.
"That's great, I am glad people are finally coming on to join this team," Gerald A said. "For years we have taken the hit for blazing the trail. We have been punched in the mouth over and over again by big tech.”
Organizations have to get out of bed with big tech in order to make this movement work.
"People always [said] that they knew better than us. They always told us that wasn't necessarily the way to go. People always told us that they had a better way, they had a better mouse trap for it. I am just loving that people are finally waking up and seeing that,” Gerald A said.
Mug Club was the first to be the only media network powered by its supporters and people like you.
"We've been doing it for years. We can only do MugClub because of you. That's the model people are going to. It's a Mug Club type model,” Gerald A said.
A bunch of other people who wear the same team jersey have said that this is not the way to go. But now they are coming around to it.
“I’m glad they are doing it. Better late than never. We do want all of these people to succeed because we want voices for conservatives to be loud, to be heard by as many people as possible, and not be beholden to big tech. [Steven] has been doing it for years, and [he] called it,” Gerald A said.
Big tech has made it nearly impossible to reach new people with the truth.
"I would have never been happier to be wrong. I always wished that I was wrong,” Crowder said.
The overlords have been parading around as the arbiters of truth for too long.
"We said, 'Hey! The British are coming!' In this case, it was big tech [and the] gender queer chain gang,” Crowder said.
Louder with Crowder was really hit right before the last election. Now, the business model is you supporting what you want to see. Not what big tech wants you to see.
“I think a lot of conservatives are going to be facing that,” Crowder said. "Our goal with every single new sign-up is more content, more impact, and more independence. We will never be dependent on big tech again. You decide if we stay or go and I would much rather be beholden to you.”
