Joe Biden still wants to run for president. You know Jill and Hunter still want him to be running for president. Shattering the glass ceiling by becoming the first sitting cis white male president to be forced out of the race by his party still sticks in his craw. And it's not like he was ever fond of Kamala Harris. But is he petty enough to actively throw her under the bus? Or is his cognitive decline further cognitively declining?

Our dude wants Americans to know that Kamala was every bit responsible for four years of unpopular Biden-Harris policies. Something Kamala's team wished he wouldn't. Now, Biden appears to be siding with Ron DeSantis. Yes, THAT Ron DeSantis.

It started when Kamala Harris, out of the blue, blasted DeSantis in the press for not taking his phone call. If you're wondering why the Vice President would call a Governor about hurricane preparation when a) that governor already spoke to the president, and b) the VP never called the governor before, so did Ron DeSantis. He was too busy getting Florida ready for Hurricane Milton to take part in Kamala's campaign stunt.

Biden was asked multiple times over the past few days about the Kamala-DeSantis "feud." Most recently, yesterday he was asked if DeSantis should be taking her phone calls.

"All I can tell you is I've talked to Gov. DeSantis. He's been very gracious. He's thanked me for all we've done. He knows what we're doing and I think that's important."

It left Kamala Harris desperate for any Florida official to pay attention to her.

To answer my own question, yes. I apparently do need to watch Veep.

My assessment is that Joe Biden knows exactly what he's doing. It may be the only thing he knows that he's doing. He may still not know where he is, how all these people got in his room, or who pooped his pants. But Biden knows. To paraphrase a top Harris surrogate, there is nothing Joe does better than revenge.
