We've long been warning you about the left's ulterior motives in promoting this climate hysteria. As if them lamenting the evils of fossil fuels while jet-setting all over the globe didn't cue the warning bells already. Welp, just have a look at this admission about the Green New Deal from AOC's chief of staff:

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” is more about drastically overhauling the American economy than it is about combatting climate change, her top aide admitted.

Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, made the revealing admission in a meeting with Democratic Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s climate director in May. A Washington Post reporter accompanied Chakrabarti to the meeting for a magazine profile published Wednesday.

“The interesting thing about the Green New Deal, is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all,” Chakrabarti said to Inslee’s climate director, Sam Ricketts. “Do you guys think of it as a climate thing?” Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing,” Chakrabarti added.

Yep, the Green New Deal isn't about lowering America's carbon footprint. It's about upending our economy so Areola Orkin-Corvette can remake it in her own Marxist image. The whole "saving the planet" thing is merely a cover.

This isn't the only scam the left is perpetuating, either. Take illegal immigration for example. AOC wants you to see her weeping and clawing at the gates because her heart aches for the illegals. In reality, she's just being a total pander bear in front of the cameras to score votes.

When the left comes at you with one of their utopian schemes, it's advisable to be skeptical. All too often there's a much more sinister motive lurking below the benevolent surface.
