Biden Looking to ‘Circumvent Congressional Review’ to Make New Deal With Iran

Biden isn’t a fan of the Constitution. He, like most Democrats, thinks that stupid piece of paper just gets in the way of his ability to do whatever he wants. And his administration has a history of trying to get around it (See OSHA “work-around” and eviction moratorium). Luckily, he tends to get shot down when he tries to do so (See OSHA "work-around" and eviction moratorium).

Those actions were unprecedented, though. If the past is any indication, Biden will probably get away with what he wants to do with Iran. And what does he want to do? He wants to re-enter into a deal with the Iranians. Breitbart reports that “[c]ritics are sounding the alarm over the terms of an impending return to the Iran nuclear deal.”

You might remember that President Trump withdrew from the deal because it was ridiculous and did nothing to stop or even slow Iran’s nuclear production. As Trump said at the time,

“[T]he deal allowed Iran to continue enriching uranium and over time reach the brink of a nuclear breakout. The deal lifted crippling economic sanctions on our end in exchange for very weak limits on the regime’s nuclear activity and no limits at all on its other maligned behavior, including sinister activities in Syria, Yemen, and other places all around the world. In other words, at the point when the United States had maximum leverage, this disastrous deal gave this regime—and it is a regime of great terror—many billions of dollars, some of it in actual cash.”

The new deal doesn’t look like it will be any better. In fact, it sounds like it might be far worse, but what else can one expect as Rob Malley—the same person who helped to ink the original deal—is heading up the negotiations for Biden’s new deal.

Gabriel Noronha, a former State Department official, wrote on her Substack, listing several of the concessions being made, and they are insane!

“[T]he U.S. has promised to lift sanctions on some of the regime’s worst terrorists and torturers, leading officials in the regime’s WMD infrastructure, and is currently trying to lift sanctions on the [Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps] itself.”

A source close to the discussions allegedly characterized the negotiations as a “total disaster,” “not[ing] that they likely were illegal, but the Biden Administration was looking for ways to circumvent congressional review, as Obama did.”

And that’s why I say he’ll probably get away with it this time: Because Obama managed to get away with the exact same thing only a handful of years ago. I guess Biden is just SO supportive of the Iranian people that he's willing to disregard our government's checks and balances to enrich their terrorist regime.
