Whoopi Goldberg was not very pleased with her audience today when they laughed at a joke. Specifically, because that joke was originally told by Mike Pence. Whoopi was retelling the joke (which she deemed not at all funny) when her audience started to laugh. Because they found it mildly funny. This prompted Whoopi to hastily chastise them for laughing at the joke of a - gasp - Republican.

"Pence claimed Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg took two months of, quote, maternity leave, during the nationwide airline crisis. Which makes Pete the only person in human history to have a child, and everyone else gets postpartum depression."

As the audience laughed, Whoopi seemingly tried to incept into their brains that it actually wasn't funny, and they shouldn't be laughing: "Now, I will point out, this joke wasn't funny when Tucker Carlson did it, it wasn't funny when Lauren Boebert did it, it's just not funny. It's just not a funny joke."

Though Pete Buttigieg's maternity leave is a tad bit of a tired subject, the leftist media's insane reaction to such a harmless joke is quite funny. Whoopi is clearly up in arms about it. And the White House is demanding Pence apologize on the grounds that the joke was homophobic: "The former vice president's homophobic joke about Secretary Buttigieg was offensive and inappropriate, all the more so because he treated women suffering from postpartum depression as a punchline. He should apologize to women and LGBTQ people, who are entitled to be treated with dignity and respect."

For the record, as a woman, I am not at all offended by this joke. That being said, they don't really care about us people with XX chromosomes. I don't even have my own bathroom anymore. But alas, such is life.
