According to the left, America must implement mass socialist policies no matter the cost. This includes universal healthcare, free public college, and universal childcare, among many other things. AOC is no stranger to these demands, as the self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist has spent much of her time pretending to be all in for the little people. This is why it’s bizarre that she’s now demanding we reinstate funding to USAID, when many of her demands in the United States have yet to come to fruition.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, AOC called to restore funding to USAID, despite the billions of dollars wasted on asinine programs. She further claimed that the United States must impose a wealth tax to fund these initiatives.

There are many, many things wrong with what she said.

Firstly, she does realize that her job is to defend all Americans, which includes the ultra-wealthy? Since when has it been rich Americans' jobs to fund foreign countries? Why can’t foreign leaders do their job? Why must it be at the expense of the taxpayer?

She also claimed that the cuts were intended for "authoritarians to have their own geographic domains." That makes zero sense. Again, it’s not America’s job to save the world, and it gives real authoritarian leaders a pass when they fail to deliver for their people.

Additionally, while she once made it clear that she believes America should fund all the things in this country, she would now rather fund all the things in other countries before we help those struggling here. That’s not compassion; it’s sheer ignorance that should be enough grounds to ban her from ever holding elected office.

Why the left spends much of their time advocating to help other countries before we fix all the things here is beyond reason. This country has got 99 problems, and a wealth tax is not one. Progressive lawmakers are a deeply unserious group of people, and the fact that people like her continue to get elected, despite them continuing to put the American people last, will always be incomprehensible.
