VIDEO: Satirist Jonathan Pie Hits Leftists for Will Smith 'Isn't Black Enough'
Nontroversy erupted this week when Will Smith was cast to play Richard Williams in a biopic about the Williams Sisters. Leftists are upset because they say Smith isn't black enough, Colorism is the new -ism this week. You see, Richard Williams has dark brown skin. Will Smith has lighter brown skin. And even though Smith is one of a hand full of actors -- of any color -- who can open a weekend, people were offended by the casting choice. British satirist Jonathan Pie is as unamused as you are. Ok, I'm sure you're pretty amused. Because of how silly this all is. But still, this is a good rant.
I can only imagine how many black actors, at some point or another, haven't got work because their skin is black. WELL NOW, they have to worry about if their skin is the wrong type of black. And so, we are now marginalizing and pigeonholing people further. All in the name of wokeness.
For those of you playing along at home, leftists get upset when [place marginalized group here] actors aren't cast in remakes of popular movies. They also get upset when white men get cast in anything ever. Now, they're upset that a black man got cast in a major role, because said black man is not black enough.
They should make a vaccine for this. Related: Bryan Cranston Defends His Portrayal of a Disabled Character: 'Actors Act!'
