Vice President JD Vance, speaking at a Michigan manufacturing plant, addressed the assassination of Charlie Kirk while also outlining his economic policy priorities.
He first pointed out the increasingly alarming incidents of political violence coming from the left.
"We do not attack or commit violence against people because we disagree with their ideas. We debate ideas — and we're going to keep on debating them in honor of the great Charlie Kirk for as long as I have a microphone."
The crazy thing about Charlie being targeted for his ideas—besides the sheer evil of it—is that he always had an open microphone for anyone willing to debate him. The problem is, the left doesn’t engage in real debate. They despise free speech because when forced to defend their ideas, they fail miserably.

“I would not be here without Charlie,” Vance added, explaining that the significant rise in young Americans voting Republican was because of Charlie’s efforts.
The left does not target insignificant people. They hated Charlie precisely because he was making a real difference, especially among the younger generation. The killer acted out of cowardice and extremism—too weak to defend his own beliefs, he resorted instead to violence. In a deranged pursuit of a meaningless cause, he stole the life of a man who stood for open dialogue and truth. That is exactly why this murder was all the more shocking and evil.
