Today, the Trump administration announced a potential link between autism and taking acetaminophen during pregnancy. Now, I’m not saying acetaminophen definitely contributes to autism diagnoses, nor am I saying it doesn’t—but at the very least, anyone hearing this should consult their doctor before taking the drug, especially in doses higher than recommended. Of course, not everyone agrees, and some TikTok users have made sure the internet knows exactly where they stand.
Several women have gone viral online for taking Tylenol to make a point to the Trump administration—an extremely weak point.
I get that many pregnant women dislike the president, but if it were me and Biden had made that announcement, I’d at least check with my OB before taking pain relief medication on TikTok. There’s a reason you shouldn’t exceed the recommended dose, and a reason the bottle says to stop use after 10 days: the medication isn’t exactly what you’d call 'healthy.' But I digress
Regarding the first video, I understand that the liberal woman dislikes RFK Jr. and objects to his lack of a scientific background—but that isn’t really a logical argument. Instead, she should review the literature and evidence before forming such an opinion. Judging by her response, it’s also unlikely she has a scientific background, which is exactly why she posted that video in the first place.
According to the Daily Caller:
A White House fact sheet released Monday cited multiple studies, including from Harvard and Johns Hopkins universities, showing there may be elevated risks of autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders, like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
During the Biden administration, the NIH recommended pregnant women “minimize exposure by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time” if they had to use acetaminophen.
🚨🇺🇸 TRUMP'S TYLENOL WARNING BACKED BY HARVARD, JOHNS HOPKINS RESEARCH
Many critics were quick to roll their eyes when Trump said Tylenol during pregnancy might raise autism risk, suggesting Trump was staying true to form with headline-grabbing statements of dubious value.… https://t.co/jKCcKfqjSx pic.twitter.com/3cjdTWGu4M

So, while the previous administration didn’t draw the same conclusion as the Trump administration, they did caution the public to be cautious about it—and that should be a concern for these critics.
The left never does their research. The study on Tylenol was conducted by 4 universities starting around 2022 to 2023. Mt Sinai, Harvard, UCLA, and University Massachusetts. They could be possibly harming their babies because of their hate for one man. pic.twitter.com/O3HV2Gm2rl

These people really have a low IQ. As the original poster pointed out, this isn’t Trump’s opinion—these findings come from studies conducted by Harvard and Johns Hopkins. I’m pretty sure those institutions aren’t Trump’s biggest fans, but of course, facts never get in the way of clicks—and that’s exactly why this article exists.

This isn’t exactly new information—acetaminophen has long been known to have side effects. Pregnant women are told to avoid everything else to be on the safe side, yet some still post TikToks in the name of 'science'—or, more accurately, political science. I’m not sure that’s really in the best interest of their unborn child, but I digress.
