President Trump is scoring high marks for his address to Congress last night, even by critics. The highlight, or at least the most emotional part? This salute to Carryn Owens, widow of U.S. Navy special operator, Senior Chief William Ryan Owens...

We are blessed to be joined tonight by Carryn Owens, the widow of a U.S. Navy special operator, Senior Chief William “Ryan” Owens. Ryan died as he lived: a warrior, and a hero — battling against terrorism and securing our nation. I just spoke to General [Jim] Mattis, who reconfirmed that, and I quote, “Ryan was a part of a highly successful raid that generated large amounts of vital intelligence that will lead to many more victories in the future against our enemies.” Ryan’s legacy is etched into eternity. For as the Bible teaches us, there is no greater act of love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Ryan laid down his life for his friends, for his country and for our freedom — we will never forget him.

And while people with a soul wonder why it suddenly got so dusty in here, this is what some Democrats were doing...

Really, Democrats want to know why you lost? Other than Hillary being as decent a presidential candidate as Jeffery Dahmer was a date. Well, and besides America being sick of outrage antics like the fallout from Shoes on the Couch (Media Outraged KellyAnne Conway’s Feet are on the Couch). Let's also not forget All Dogs Go to Dakota to Get Dumped (Dakota Pipeline Protestors, Who ‘CARE About the Environment,’ Abandon Their Dogs). Besides all those issues, the reason Democrats crashed and burned with cataclysmic flair? Democrats put petty politics over honor. Illustrated for all to see in their disrespect of a wife whose husband had fallen. It was more important for Democrats to protest Trump than it was to honor an American hero.

Seriously, all you needed to do was stand up.

Because Americans sitting at home have unlimited respect for a Gold Star widow. We see her and her husband as national heroes. So when Democrats sit it out, with countenances overflowing with contempt, we rightfully assume you harbor similar feelings for the rest of us.

We're not keen on electing people who hate Americans. Call us crazy.
