Is this still what you voted for? I certainly think it is — and so do 52 percent of Americans.

CNN data analyst Harry Enten had to admit what many already know: the majority of Americans believe Trump is fulfilling his campaign promises, with less than half thinking otherwise.

“Trump is doing what the American people thought he was going to do,” Enten said, adding that “if you look at the numbers, Trump has basically the steadiest favorable rating this far into a presidency of any president on record, and it’s basically where it was a year ago.” According to Enten, this means it’s “good enough to get reelected,” which, unfortunately, is not possible at this point in time. But if it were, we know exactly what the outcome would be.

This is because the American people are tired of presidents and lawmakers putting them last. Trump campaigned on the promise that this would no longer be the case. And the only way to make good on that promise is by first enforcing federal immigration laws—something the previous administration openly mocked.

So, while some might find these data points surprising, they really aren’t—if you’ve been paying even the slightest bit of attention.

Time and time again, the American people have shown how much they oppose illegal immigration. And that is precisely why many believe he is fulfilling his promises. In fact, you don’t even have to be a Trump supporter to acknowledge that he has delivered on his campaign promises—but that is neither here nor there.

That being said, the American people have spoken, and to call Trump’s favorable rating “shocking” would be nothing more than a lie. And there is nothing the left dislikes more than that.
