According to Rep. Eric Swalwell, he is the Calif. gubernatorial candidate who is all in it for public safety. This is why it’s bizarre that he made that claim, while one of his sole positions is to defund ICE.

If he were for public safety, he would be doing everything in his power to ensure criminal aliens are off the streets for good. Rather than do that, he has made it clear that if you break federal immigration laws, you get a pass. This does nothing to ensure the people are safe and does everything to create a culture of lawlessness that will never put him on the right side of history.

According to Swalwell, "People are fed up with it, and they don't want it to be funded a second longer." He claims this makes him have a pro-police stance, as ICE is bringing terror and the state is under attack, adding that there are troops on the streets.

The only people buying this are those who are just as naive and delusional as him.

These comments come after he claimed that if you work for ICE, you will be unemployable in the State of California.

"It's often the case that law enforcement officers will want to lateral from one department to another. And as governor, I'll use my emergency powers, and I'll tell every state agency, 'We are not, as a policy, hiring ICE agents." Because right now, these guys are doing this work, it's a decision. No one's holding a gun and saying you have to work for ICE," Swalwell told Phang.

While no one is forcing anyone to work for ICE, the same logic can be applied to illegal immigration. No one told the third world to break American federal immigration laws, but they did so, and now Swalwell is emphatically protecting those people, while bashing the ones he’s supposed to represent.

ICE is not the problem, especially considering over 77 million Americans voted to end the open border policies of the former administration. This is not complicated nor should it be controversial. However, only the left can take such a non-issue, like common-sense immigration law, and turn it into a moral imperative.

Swalwell has made it clear who he intends to represent, and it certainly is not the American people, as he vows to put foreign nationals first, at the expense of public safety. But what else is new?
