WATCH: Sean Spicer Slams Van Jones Over the Left's Pro-Media Hypocrisy
Sean Spicer was one of the downsides of the early Trump administration. He was overly whiny and easily rattled. Pretty much the exact opposite of leftist ass-kicker extraordinaire, Sarah Sanders. But, that doesn't mean Sean isn't without his upsides. Take this exchange where he skewered Van Jones over his hypocrisy on the media for example.
During one segment, a former Obama appointee, Van Jones, was brought on set to debate Spicer. Jones started in hard at Spicer, calling him a liar and critiquing the administration’s treatment of the press.Spicer came with his receipts though, reminding Van Jones that it was his boss who attempted to ban Fox News from White House-orchestrated press events.
“When you talk about your party, let’s talk about your party. During Obama’s years you banned Fox News, wiretapped and went through the e-mails —” Jones attempted to interrupt but Spicer continued “–All the outrage from press comes because the president is fighting back on Twitter. What you guys took — you tried to kick Fox News out of a press pool.”
B-B-BOOM! Van just got handled.
The left's hypocrisy is astounding. Barry Big Ears was free to be an anti-media douchelord without consequence. He's on the record, speaking out against "fake news." Which, at the time meant any non-leftist media entity. Not the Trump. Coincidentally, the moment he got elected, the media deserved absolute respect and freedom. According to the media.
Left-wing media types, Van Jones included, only care about media freedom as long as they can use it against the Donald. They've created a lie machine to discredit the orange man in the Oval Office. Yet, when Obama pushed back against justified scrutiny from the media, the left was perfectly willing to look the other way. Typical.
