#SchumerShutdown: Trump's Budget Chief Thinks it Could Last This Long
It's early Monday morning as I write this. Allegedly there is a vote in the Senate at noon. Also, President Trump hasn't woken up and started live tweeting Fox & Friends. A lot can change, is what I'm saying. The White House budget guru, Mick Mulvaney, has an idea of how long he thinks the shutdown could last if the Democrats have their way.
Also, if they're big stupid idiots.
Donald Trump's budget chief predicted on Sunday that Democrats will deliberately extend the federal shutdown until the president has delivered his State of the Union on January 30.Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney said on Fox News Sunday that he believes 'Democrats want to see the president give the State of the Union under a shutdown'.
Mulvaney claimed the Democrats are trying to hurt Trump by keeping the government closed.
In other words, Mulvaney believes it could be a longwinded tantrum. Lucky us.
The #SchumerShutdown already isn't working out for Democrats. At least, not the way they would have hoped (see Mainstream Media Outlets Surprisingly Tell the Truth About the Shutdown and WATCH: Jim Acosta Proves He Doesn’t Know Anything About Government With Shutdown Question). Apparently shutting down the federal government over illegal immigration wasn't a smart move. Go figure.
So, personally, I can't imagine it going until the end of the month. I can, however, imagine that was the Democrats' foolish plan at some point.
Here's looking forward to what February brings. Speaking of which...
