Ron Gochez, a Los Angeles history teacher, has a message for ICE agents: They are not the only ones with guns. And while this is so obvious and goes without saying, the fact that it was said might make some people think it was a threat. And, well, I am no legal expert, but I would assume the last thing anyone should be doing is threatening federal law enforcement.

Don’t you just love how these people like to play tough for the cameras? Because I hardly doubt he would speak that way directly to an ICE agent — but that’s just a hunch. He did claim that he was in South Central Los Angeles and that ICE agents should remember that, but I’m sure they would know what city they’re in if they are deporting people — but that is neither here nor there.

The real problem here is how emboldened these people feel to speak like this about federal officers for simply enforcing the law. I get that not everyone likes laws, but it was never the norm for school teachers to go on national TV and speak like this about law enforcement agents. This shows how radical the left has become, and, astonishingly, they have no shame in their game.

Is this the example he wishes to set for his students? Is this the hill he wishes to die on? Is this really the fight he believes is worth fighting? If the answer was “yes” to any one of those questions, that should bar him from teaching indefinitely. But considering that the public school system is run by people no different than him, this is, sadly, unsurprising.

That being said, someone should really inform the left that just because you are unhinged and irrational, that does not put you on the right side of history.
