Governor Attacks Republican Truck Driver as 'Dangerous Guy,' but Sen-Elect Edward Durr Hits Back Hard
Senator-Elect Edward Durr is the feel-good story of the 2021 election, or Senator-Elect "for now", I should say. I'll get to that in a minute. Durr, a truck driving grandpa spending next to no money took down New Jersey's State Senate President. It's a great story for America. The problem is that what's good for America is bad for Democrats. The media is lashing out at Durr over old tweets. Now, NJ Gov. Muphy is calling Durr "dangerous" because he tweeted mean things. (h/t Washington Examiner)
Edward Durr is 'dangerous," Murphy says when in reaction to Sen. Stephen Sweeney's election loss youtu.be
"This guy who is apparently winning is a dangerous guy."
"I want to be unequivocal: I do not welcome this in any way, shape, or form."
"I bemoan if [the results] come out the wrong way."
The "results" meaning the results of the senate race. Senate President Steve Sweeney hasn't conceded. First, Sen. Sweeny said that 12,000 votes were "found" in one county. Then he said, "I didn't say they were found. I said 12,000 votes came into Camden County. My point is: Votes are coming in." As things stand now, 100% of votes have been counted and Durr is up by around 2000 votes. It's a week after election day, so I'm not sure why votes are "still coming in" and where they are coming from. One might say this sounds shady if one wasn't relying on Facebook for web traffic.
Sen-Elect Durr responded to Murphy's attack, calling the governor "more dangerous than I can ever be." Adding: "Murphy's policies have made New Jersey the most moved-out-of-state in the nation, closed one-third of our small businesses, and killed 10,000 nursing home residents." Durr says, unlike Murphy, he's going to Trenton to make life better for everyone in New Jersey.
So let's compare. Gov. Murphy, an alleged C*VID hypocrite, shut down businesses and bullied any small business owner who stood up to him. Murphy's lockdown was so tyrannical an eighteen-year-old was inspired to run against it. Sen-Elect Durr? He tweeted not nice (yet accurate) things about Antifa and Kamala Harris.
The dangerous guy isn't the one who just (hopefully) got elected.
