Paul Sorvino Breaks Silence on Harvey Weinstein Blacklisting His Daughter
It was really only a matter of time before TMZ caught up with Paul Sorvino.
His daughter Mira Sorvino was one of Harvey Weinstein's many victims. Much like Pokemon, it's hard to collect them all (see Salma Hayek: ‘Harvey Weinstein Threatened to Kill Me…’ and This Actress’s Harvey Weinstein Story is One of The Worst Yet). But Mira was both harassed and blacklisted. That would be enough to drive any father mad.
A father who's an old school cat from Brooklyn? Back before hipsters sprayed their soy everywhere? Watch this, and let's just say his role in Goodfellas may have been type-casting.
"He better hope he goes to jail, because if we come across each other, he may be lying on the floor."
"If he doesn't go to jail, he has to meet me and I will kill the motherfu**er"
"If I had known about these accusations, he would not be walking."
"He's going to go to jail and die in jail. But if he doesn't? 'Harvey, come here. I have some news for you."
There's been a lot of "tough talk" after everyone went public. Most of them were from beta-male actors trying to look tough. Paul Sorvino? Him I believe.
Perhaps if there had been more reactions like this, followed through with action, against Harvey Weinstein (and his compatriots who've yet to be outed) Weinstein's rapescapades would've been concluded sooner. During initial fallout, many of us scratched our heads as we searched for the angry reactions from husbands, boyfriends, fathers and brothers. Sad we finally have one after Weinstein has been caught.
