Woke reporter tries injecting her politics into MLB All-Star Game, but Pat McAfee refuses to take the bait

Not unlike entertainment reporters, sports reporters are more concerned with their bitterly partisan political worldview than they are with the topic they are supposed to be covering. However, unlike James Gunn or the cast of Fantastic Four, Pat McAfee is smart enough not to take the bait, as he showed when a journalismer attempted to politicize tonight's MLB All-Star Game.
The game is being hosted by the Atlanta Braves in Atlanta, and if you are starting to have deja vu all over again...
Georgia had proposed common-sense voter integrity laws. As with most common-sense voter integrity laws, Democrats lied about them and called them racist. Joe Biden famously referred to them as "Jim Crow on Steroids."
There was a push to force MLB to remove the All-Star Game from Atlanta as a way to bully Georgia officials not to pass the laws. Joe Biden endorsed this bullying during an interview on ESPN. MLB caved and moved the game to Colorado, costing all the black-owned businesses in the area millions in additional revenue.
As we know now in 2025, Biden and Abrams lied about the bill, Georgia saw record voter of color turnout, and later in 2021 when the Atlanta Braves made it to the World Series, Leftists were no longer signaling their virtue about baseball being played there.
Yesterday, at a press conference, a journalismer wanted McAfee and NL All-Star Game manager Dave Roberts to explain why it's ok for Atlanta to host the All-Star Game in Atlanta in 2025 when Georgia's common-sense election integrity laws are still on the books (and proven to be successful).
A polite McAfee responded that it sounded like the journalismer had a political question, but they were there to talk about baseball.
In fairness to the journalsimer, as the cats over at Outkick report, Roberts was all about the virtue signaling in 2021 and supported Atlanta losing the All-Star Game (and as a result, all the black business owners losing money).
Also in 2021, Roberts said he would consider declining to manage the National League in the All-Star Game if the event remained in Atlanta and added, "When you’re trying to restrict African-American votes — American citizens — that’s alarming to me to hear."
Once the MLB decided to move the All-Star Game out of Atlanta, Roberts said he "supported" the decision.
Maybe after no African-Americans had their votes restricted, Roberts realized he was the victim of misinformation. Hey, it happens to everyone who trusts the mainstream media and the Democrat Party (but I repeat myself).
But McAfee answered how everyone should. Most of our "culture wars" stem from partisan reporters interjecting politics into sports and entertainment, and the athlete or actors answering things awkwardly because, silly them, thought they were there to talk about sports and entertainment. Then everyone gets their clickbait and engagement in.
McAfee respectfully declined the question because, and this part is key, he's not in politics and is therefore not equipped to speak on politics. More entertainers should follow his lead.
