There is this little thing called “Time, place, and manner (TPM) restrictions.” These are “content-neutral limitations imposed by the government on expressive activity.” This could include “restricting the size or placement of signs on government property.”

This country takes the beauty of its national parks pretty seriously. This is why we often see TPM restrictions go into effect more often than some leftists would like to see. So, while the left believes it’s their First Amendment right to deface nature by hanging flags that have to do with gender confusion, that's not actually what the law conveys.

No one is having a harder time accepting those facts than Shannon “SJ” Josli, a “nonbinary former Yosemite National Park ranger, who is suing the Department of the Interior after” she was “fired for hanging a transgender pride flag from the park’s famous El Capitan rock formation last year.”

The self-identified “nonbinary bat biologist” claims her First Amendment rights were violated after she was held accountable for her immature stunt. However, I just checked all the founding documents in existence, and I am having trouble finding the part where flags dedicated to one's “gender expression” or bedroom preferences were given special treatment.

“Constitutional rights are necessary and guaranteed for every person in the United States. This lawsuit is fighting for the rights of average people and is asserting that they don’t just exist for the individuals with the most power in this country,” Joslin told SFGATE, after filing the lawsuit on Monday.

Joslin and two other National Park Service (NPS) employees were off the clock when they scaled the iconic El Capitan rock formation in May 2025 and hung a trans pride flag.

They said they hung the flag — which was up for three hours before it was taken down — in response to President Trump’s executive order banning transgender women from competing in women’s sports.

The point the activist tried to make was that “trans is natural.”

If trans is natural, why do these people try so pathetically hard to change everything about their natural biology? It’s also pretty ironic that a biologist, of all people, would die on this hill, considering that she very well knows biology exists. Nonetheless, she chose to risk her job to protest with drag queens to prove a point, which, according to biology, is lacking.

These people can cry that their rights were violated, but that only proves just how much special treatment the left demands for these people. When they claim they want equal rights, what they really mean is special rights. They had no right to fly any flag on that mountain, and the fact that it was a trans flag has nothing to do with the issue at hand. Considering, though, that we are dealing with a bunch of narcissists, as they invent pronouns based on abstract feelings, demanding you affirm their delusions, this is the best they can do — and it is extremely pathetic.

I assume things won't turn out too well for the self-identified nonbinary bat biologists, and that will be nothing more than a personal problem. While they/them can continue to fight this deranged fight of wanting special treatment for her feelings, that is not how the real world operates. They/them should leave this as an important life lesson, but clearly, she still believes the world revolves around her.
