Shocker: While the LA riots burned, Gavin Newsom was out sipping wine with his elitist friends

During last week's riots, California Gov. Gavin Newsom turned a blind eye to the destruction happening within his state. He went as far as to claim that Trump had no right to deploy troops, given that he had it under control. However, when he implied he had it taken care of, what he was really doing was sipping wine in Napa Valley.
EXCLUSIVE: California Governor @GavinNewsom attended a luxury wine tasting in Napa while rioters had already begun barricading streets, lighting cars on fire, and attacking law enforcement in Los Angeles.

According to a City Journal exclusive:
The wine-tasting was held on the afternoon of June 7, 2025, at the Odette Estate Winery, which Newsom co-founded in 2011. Dubbed “Vineyard Vibes,” the event was a fundraiser for the PlumpJack Foundation, founded by Newsom’s sister, and featured “contemporary yet sophisticated” wines, live jazz music, and locally made pizza and smash burgers. “It’s the perfect kick-off to summer fun,” read promotional language. “The fete will take place on the Winery Crushpad, where we’ll gather for music, food, conversation, and delicious wine!”
A source who photographed Newsom at the event expressed shock that the governor was in attendance, given that riots had broken out in Los Angeles the day before. “I couldn’t believe it,” the source said. “He was just walking around like this was an everyday occurrence.” Newsom was at the wine party for at least 90 minutes, according to the source, who said that when the governor finally left, he appeared to retreat to the inner rooms of his winery.
Why does all of this feel like Déjà vu? Hmmmm……
"No kings," they lectured while praising the leadership of the guy who dined maskless during the Covid surge while telling the rest of us to stay away from family during the holidays and to always wear a mask https://t.co/hQ9jDso4P2 pic.twitter.com/vZxts7SPxq

LOL. So, when he demanded Californians mask up for “safety,” he committed the great sin of parading around maskless in one of the bay’s most exclusive and expensive restaurants. You know, because mask mandates were only for presents. This is why it’s no surprise he turned a blind eye to the lawlessness wreaking havoc in his state. Thus, I think we all know who the real threat is to public safety, and it may or may not be him.
The timeline is worth noting. The Los Angeles riots broke out on June 6, in response to the Trump administration’s illegal-alien deportation policies. As Newsom sampled wines in Napa Valley the next day, rioters in Los Angeles had already begun vandalizing public buildings, barricading streets, setting vehicles on fire, and throwing rocks, bottles, and cinder blocks at law enforcement officers.
While he ignored the lawlessness in his state, he decided to make this political and blame Trump for "militarizing" the streets.
Donald Trump deployed more than 700 active U.S. Marines — men and women trained in foreign combat, not domestic law enforcement.
We honor their service and bravery. But we do not want our streets militarized by our own Armed Forces. Not in L.A. Not in California. Not anywhere. pic.twitter.com/gkYl9fQMwL

You really can't make this level of political theater up. That said, Newsom has made it clear who he prioritizes—and it's certainly not you, especially when there are wine tastings on his schedule.
