To claim many voters did not “send their best” would be an understatement.

North Carolina elected LaKesha Womack. She will be headed to court next week on charges related to car theft, as she is accused of failing to return a car valued at $20,000. Yes, it really is that bad.
According to The Post Millennial:
Womack defeated GOP Rep. Tim Moore in North Carolina’s 14th Congressional District. A criminal summons was served to Womack on October 11 at one of her campaign events in Polk County.
Per the Charlotte Observer, Womack faces the Class H felony charge for allegedly not returning a rental car valued at around $20,000 in 2019. While a criminal summons was issued in January 2020, it ultimately went unserved.
You really cannot write better comedy than this. How is this not satire?
The congresswoman-elect could face a range of four months to over three years behind bars under sentencing guidelines, per the New York Post. If convicted, however, Womack would not automatically be disqualified from serving in Congress.
I have no clue whether this woman is guilty of the charges. I will, however, say that most people go their entire lives without being accused of car theft. Most people rent cars and never get accused of failing to return them. But draw your own conclusions.
Here she is admitting she did not return the car on time:
Lakesha Womack, the Democrat challenging Rep. Tim Moore, said she didn’t know she had a pending felony, but admits to not returning a rental car on time during a period of homelessness and mental health struggles. #NC14 #NCpol https://t.co/pQAOvITBj2

I cannot comprehend how voters thought she was the better candidate.
While it is great that she is trying to get her life together, did she really need to run for office while doing that? Again, to claim the left is “not sending their best” would be a massive understatement.
