We should be winding down from our 'rona panic. Not amping it back up. Yet here we are at a school football game. Here is a mother minding her own business. Here is a cop arresting the woman minding her own business for not wearing a mask. But wait, there's more.

The parent was reportedly refusing to wear a mask when approached by an officer. The police officer appears to use a taser on the parent, before placing her in handcuffs. The Logan Police Department says that the incident is currently under investigation.

Some details from a second article, based on eyewitnesses:

[The woman] had not been warned for not wearing a mask prior to the officer approaching her. Kennedy also said that Kitts has asthma and that's why she was not wearing a mask.

The current [from the taser] went through the bleachers and zapped the kid sitting there too.

We should wait for the facts to come in. Okay, fair. Even though we've seen this before (see WOMAN IN AUSTRALIA CHOKED, TACKLED, ARRESTED FOR... NOT WEARING A MASK?! and NASHVILLE COUNCILWOMAN WANTS ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES FOR NOT WEARING A MASK). I will wait to see the results of the investigation and promise not to riot or harass people eating dinner while I'm waiting. But here's what I think happened.

A woman was sitting, by the looks of this video, off by herself much further than six feet away from any other person. Maybe she left her mask in the car and just wanted to see her son run a few plays. Or maybe she just didn't feel like wearing one. That detail is irrelevant to me. Some snitch-ass little b!tch — who is probably also the basic b!tch causing drama in the local Facebook mommy group — called the cops. Again, waiting for details.

The local police send the one cop who never seems to have anything to do, since the other officers are working on stuff that actually matters. Cop shows up. Woman doesn't want to wear a mask. Maybe she raised her voice. Maybe she challenged him to see who can do more pull-ups. Whatever happened, this is where the apparently piss-poorly trained cop who looks like he's twice the size of the woman panicked and shot her with a taser. Just to get handcuffs on her. To arrest her. Because she wasn't wearing a mask while sitting by herself at a kids' football game.

Also, that's just the male cop. The female cop who was there, again accordingly to eyewitnesses, ALSO wasn't wearing a mask. But put one on once she realized people were watching.

We'll see how close I am when the results of the investigation are released. Whatever the results, it's horrifying to think this happened in America,
