in March, the United States passed the sixth anniversary of the COVID lockdown. It is no longer considered a global health emergency or a pandemic. You don't need to be a public health expert to understand this. This is why if you are wearing a mask in 2026, you are not mentally well. Taylor Lorenz is one of those people.
According to Lorenz, the problem with leftists promoting communist propaganda in Cuba is not that they are uplifting a tyrannical regime -- it is that they are not wearing face diapers.
“If you’re traveling to Cuba or any impoverished community, or just generally, you should be wearing a mask. We’re 6 years into an ongoing pandemic, and airborne disease is real, no matter how many “leftists” want to scream and stomp their feet and shout RFK talking points,” she wrote on X.
It’s really so easy to not infect and kill ppl around you. No one is saying u have to be perfect, but if you respond to disabled ppl asking you not to kill/maim them and other vulnerable folks by having a meltdown instead of showing basic solidarity, you are not a serious person

It is unclear how she managed to turn a story about Cuban propaganda about COVID, but it truly is leftist art.
The post was so incredibly random that it is hard to believe it is not satire. Does she truly believe she was on to something here? Did she really believe she convinced someone to wear a mask by insulting leftists who didn't invite her on their communist tour? The logic is not very logical with this one.
Question: If masks work, why are COVID cases significantly insignificant in 2026 when no one is wearing them, while it was a global health emergency when EVERYONE wore them? That is something she could never comprehend, but it won't stop her from bashing those who disagree with her.
Cubans have got a lot of problems, and we can almost be 100% certain that COVID is not one of them. The fact that it is 2026 and she is still on the Panny D bandwagon defies reason, and this is more than enough evidence that you did not need that to prove this woman is bonkers.
While she believes this puts her on the right side of history, in reality, it reads like objective stupidity pretending to be some leftist virtue that does not even exist anymore. She does realize that progressive priorities change by the day, right? She should really check back on the interweb to figure out that masks are so 2020.
