Laidoff Man Does Whatever It Takes — and Puts the Left to Shame...

Team Crowder
September 10, 2015

So a man was laid off from his job, making it difficult to provide for his family. His next step? No…he didn’t ask for donations or handouts. No, he didn’t take food stamps. He didn't even blame big businesses. The man did everything in his power to get himself a job....

Which included going out onto the street outside Busch Stadium in Missouri with a stack of resumes. Because he wanted to work for his living and work to support his family. Now, at first look it's a sad sight. But depending on your point of view, it can become an inspiring one.

The economy's been tough for a lot of people. While more and more people are leaving the workforce, this guy is doing anything he can to get back in. Of course, if you read the comments at the original post on Reddit, leftists are naturally outraged. Some comments.

"Doing what it really takes"

Humiliating himself in public. Reddit has really taken a sharp turn to the political right wing.

And another

This. I came here to make sure someone said this. the OP comment is conservative "Bootstrap" rhetoric at its worst.
Yes. The leftists on Reddit think that a man, looking for a job... is "too Conservative." Behold today's left, ladies and gentleman. To them, Conservatism at its most extreme, is supporting a man looking for work. Nobody's saying that this is the ideal situation. Nobody's even saying that the current economy (and government manipulation thereof) hasn't failed him. But all of that is irrelevant to the concept, that human beings regardless of circumstance, always have a choice. This man (as they were once called) made a conscious decision to do whatever it takes to improve his circumstance. Let's look at some more delusions from the Bernie Sanders crowd shall we?

"Man, kids these days so lazy, I am successful because I worked hard and persevered!"

-Baby Boomers

. . .during a time when all forms of labor were in demand, and paid pretty well, regardless of education.

Talk about ignorance. Firstly, Millennials assume that they always have it harder than anyone else. My grandfather who hustled Montreal pool halls as a 15 year old to feed his family in the great depression? Pfffft. The kid with the Xbox360 headset knows what's really up!
Here's a shocker: there are plenty of jobs around today that are in demand. Some jobs are in demand more than ever in fact! Most of these are trade jobs like plumbers, carpenters and electricians. The problem is that Millennials think that these jobs are beneath them, unlike their Masters in Philosophy. Here's some more info from USA Today.
As a matter of fact, as baby-boomers leave the workforce, there will be a shortage of these jobs the likes of which we've never even seen. And they pay well. Really well. Not only that, but a lot of these trade jobs provide incredible opportunities to move up in the field and create businesses of your own. Start as an apprentice, become the best carpenter around, start an LLC where you hire other carpenters, expand etc. The American dream! Or the "AMERICAN PROPAGANDA MACHINE" if you read the Reddit sub-forums.
These jobs are available. Millennials just don't want these jobs. They want to complain about how hard it is to get the specific jobs they want. That's not how an economy works. Especially for a young, entitled, ignorant graduate. The silver lining here?
This guy right here, the guy in the picture? He'll probably find a job. Someone who understands a work ethic will spot him and just have to have him in their company. He's such a stark contrast to today's entitled young leftists that he's too valuable to pass up.
Hats off to you, sir!
