Recently, New York City announced that it will not be asking for the immigration status of people utilizing free childcare in the city. This is why he has partnered with AOC to promote the tax-funded program for illegals, all while speaking in Spanish.
According to the Daily Mail:
'Any New York City parent, regardless of your occupation, income or immigration status is eligible to sign their child up.'
In other words, the city is funding care for foreign nationals, whether or not they have paid into the system. When the left claims they are fighting for you, what they really mean is that they are fighting for people who disrespect this nation's federal immigration laws. This is what they call compassion, but in reality, it's nothing more than an abuse of the system at the expense of Americans.
'We've made the application process easy, no matter who you are,' Cortez adds before explaining the online process for registering children, noting it is open to more than 200 languages.
'Because no family should be shut out from our programs just because of the language they speak...we can make our city more affordable for everybody.'
It’s not like the city has infinite resources. Every illegal that takes up a spot in this program will be at the expense of American citizens, who just so happen to be the people these people are elected to represent. —
This announcement comes after Mamdani threatened to raise taxes on the middle class because the city is in a budget shortfall.

Here’s a crazy thought — maybe — just maybe — if the city stopped spending so much funding on illegal aliens, they wouldn't be in this mess. This is common sense. However, sense is not so common with these communists, which is precisely why they are in this mess.
As of writing this, it’s unclear when the City of New York will actually fight for the legal residents of the city — but it'll happen no time soon. To call that a slap in the face to all the people they pretend to represent would be an understatement. But what else is new?
