Over the last few years, we've heard some scary stupid things crawl their way out of powerful pieholes. Even from Justices (see CA Chief Justice Demands ICE Stop Busting Illegals at Courthouses. Where LAWS Are Enforced...). Looks like the idiocy plague is still spreading. No left-leaning mouth is safe! Least of all Justice Sotomayor.

Watch as she talks about what she thinks is one of America's biggest issues:

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor on Wednesday said that pay inequality between men and women is one of the nation's biggest issues.

Sotomayor, speaking at Brown University, said that the challenges women face haven’t changed since she was growing up, the Associated Press reported.

"Women doing the same work still earn less than men. You can't fight the facts," she said, according to the AP. "Pay equality is one of the biggest issues our nation faces."

It's funny she mentions facts, because she then goes on to say this:

"So many people start fighting about the facts, and the importance of the facts, as opposed to the importance of the principles that are motivating the discussion," she said, according to the AP. "You got to get back to that before you can get to facts."

This is what we call diversionary tactics. Or just flat out misleading. The facts don't support the idea of a wage gap (see WAGE GAP? Female CEOs Make More Than Male CEOs. Waaaay More...). So pay no mind to them. Rather than debate whether the wage gap is actually a thing, leftists like Sotomayor want you to first concede this point: it's a bad thing. The thing that isn't actually a thing. But if it DID exist, it would be bad. Except it doesn't. But you should denounce it anyway -- this imaginary thing.

It never fails to amaze me how wrong these pillars of the law can be (see Oregon Judge Helps Illegal Criminal Escape ICE Agents. Yes, Really...). We're not talking about insignificant mama's boys who will amount to nothing more than professional picketers. These are people whose judgement the country relies on. So yeah, it's bit of a problem when they make themselves look like giant puckered anal cavities.
