According to Mamdani’s tenants’ rights advocate, Cea Weaver, tenants should expect to be lifelong renters at this point, as homeownership is solely something for the elite. This is why she thinks it’s politically beneficial for the left to focus on tenant rights, in an effort to combat “Trumpism.”

There are so many things wrong with what she said, it’s unclear where to begin.

Firstly, there is nothing the left does that makes life more affordable for the average American. In fact, we can largely assign blame to leftist policies for contributing to many Americans struggling to make ends meet. It’s not a coincidence that the more leftist an area becomes, the more expensive it all ends up. Why do you think the most difficult places to buy homes, a.k.a. California and New York, are two of the most progressive states in the country?

Secondly, rather than pretending to want to fix this problem, she has decided that homeownership is not something for ordinary people. In fact, you should accept the reality of being a lifelong renter, and you should focus on candidates who affirm that truth. Thus, in the left's eyes, the American dream no longer includes owning a home, which proves they could not be more anti-American if they tried.

This is not surprising, coming from the woman who claims your home should not really be yours, and that white families need a “different relationship to property.” So, not only does she believe the government is the only entity allowed to own property, but she also believes white people are the problem here.

Hmmmmm. Where have I heard this one before? Cough cough South Africa cough cough….

Fortunately for the sane Americans, all of this is not what you would call “legal.” We have a right to private property. We have a right not to be discriminated against based on skin color. And we surely shouldn’t settle for candidates who think you should accept the fake reality that you must be an eternal renter.

Homeownership is part of the American dream, and the sooner the left realizes that, the better off they will be. Until then, Americans won’t be too fond of their demands to reject that goal, and that is nothing more than a personal problem.
