The FBI is now looking into Chicago's dropping of this case. Rahm Emanuel, Chicago's mayor and at least at one time in the inner circle of Barack Obama, wants Jussie to pay up for this, and called the dismissal of the case a "whitewashing of justice." Now Smollett's lawyer is out there doubling down on the lie.
