Every politician needs to watch 30 Rock and the scene where Steve Buscemi, wearing a backwards baseball cap and holding a skateboard, said, "How do you do, fellow kids?' Actually, every right-leaning politician needs to watch it. I'm ok with democrats looking cringe as they shamelessly pander to the youngins. Such as Illinois Gov JB Pritzker, who thinks he's running for president. He dropped a piece of content that harkens back to another expression the youths say. "Ok, hardo."
Here's the thing. I'm an old. The extent that I know slang is just what I pick up listening to my nieces and having a job that requires me to be on social media against my better judgment. But whatever this Pritzker video is, I'd bet all the money in my pockets right now that it is NOT "aura farming."
I'm surprised he didn't also say he was mogging his cortisol levels. Though the only things JB "mogs" are too many carbs.
Social media influencer Rep. AOC, after shooting a video where she jabs herself with a needle to normalize something most women think is more normal not to broadcast on social media, sees this and says, "Don't be weird."
This is the part of the blog post where one would illustrate all the people dunking on Pritzker to make the case that "the internets" has rendered its verdict and found the content lacking. But there's really only one response necessary.

I know that in politics there is always the question of how to better appeal to the youth vote, even though they don't. It puts politicians in a position where they think they have to listen to the twenty-three-year-old staffer who rarely looks up from their smartphone. But you still need to be an adult and tell your social media team, "No, that's a terrible idea that would make me look like a jackass."
Because unless your source of employment is a patronage job in Cook County, you aren't laughing with JB Pritzker as much as you're laughing at him.
The patronage hires are laughing at him too. Just quietly.
