People take Halloween decorations seriously. It is not that deep. Nonetheless, in that pathetic pursuit, a woman was caught stealing not one, but TWO 12-foot Halloween skeletons from Home Depot, and well, the video speaks for itself.
A woman was arrested after allegedly stealing two 12-foot Halloween skeletons worth $600 from a Home Depot in Michigan. Police used a drone to track her after she tried to hide the decorations in a bush; she briefly ran from officers before being caught. https://t.co/FGtGQk6DS7

The fact that the helicopter was right over her and she STILL tried to hide the decorations for later is astonishing. Did she really think she would get away with this? Clearly, she is not what you would call a “criminal mastermind.” And the fact that this was over Halloween decorations, aka not even remotely close to a necessity, makes it all the more pathetic. It is almost like she was ASKING to go to jail.
Per Fox 2:
Drone video from police reveals a woman with what is reported to be a nearly $600 worth of huge 12-foot Halloween skeleton that was allegedly swiped from a Home Depot. In the video, you can see the drone locked in on the situation pretty quickly.
At one point, you see the woman dumping the goods in an alley nearby, perhaps to come back for them later.
Not only did Dearborn Heights Police have this eye in the sky, they were also based right next door, so officers did not have to go far to apprehend her.
At first I thought this was AI, as I assumed no one would be dumb enough to throw two huge skeletons in a bush, right next to the cart used to steal the items, just to come back for it later, all while she was being recorded from above. Turns out, however, this is as real as it gets. The fact that she risked it all for two ugly, oversized skeletons proves society is not okay.
