Abdul El-Sayed won Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary last night. Today’s show breaks it down.

According to NBC:

Abdul El-Sayed has won Michigan’s slugfest of a Democratic Senate primary, NBC News projects, clinching the nomination in a close race over Rep. Haley Stevens and establishing a Midwest beachhead for a progressive left on the march this midterm cycle.

“This is bad,” Crowder said. “Even Republicans have to be RINOS because they do have to promise a certain amount of free crap. I do not know if you can out-promise free crap from a Socialist, but El-Sayed has a plan.”

If this man were to become successful, he plans to defund the police, release all of the prisoners, abolish ICE, and Medicare for all, including for illegals. This, combined with a billionaire wealth tax, is grounds for disaster.

“Do you believe that he would oppose soda on SNAP? Do you think he would require people to work 80 hours per month to receive unemployment benefits? Of course, not. So how is he for you when you are the one paying for it? He is for the people whose votes he can buy.”

Despite all of this, he still claims he is not a Socialist.

“He tries to act as though he just wants to break up big monopolies. Historically, it has actually been the opposite,” Crowder said. “We, as Conservatives, do not suggest there should be no government regulation whatsoever. It is about regulation that serves the interests of the people and is constitutionally confined. There is a role for regulation. We know that. There is no role for 70,000 new IRS employees.”

It is the left who believes some companies are too big to fail.

“They want monopolies because it is very easy for the government to step in and say they are seizing the means of production and distribution in a soft way. They effectively end up controlling the big business,” Crowder said. “Historically, it was the right who said that for Capitalism to flourish, we need to make sure that there is no big brother government picking winners and losers.”
