Not really sure what to think about this one.
So, it turns out that these days, just about anything can be turned into an Olympic sport.
The “Housekeeping Olympics” was held in Las Vegas on Monday for the 35th year. Hospitality workers competed in events such as vacuum races, bed-making, mop relays, and many other challenges.
According to Fox 5:
The event took place at the Michelob Ultra Arena, where nine teams competed, pushing their abilities to the next level. Teams competed in a vacuum race, where housekeepers rode vacuums to clear the track in record time. They also demonstrated their efficiency and teamwork in a mop relay, bed-making competition, and tucking sheets relay.
Officials say the Housekeeping Olympics is a vibrant celebration, honoring the dedicated individuals who meticulously care for guests every single day.
While no single team swept the competition, Resorts World, Aria, and V-dara placed on the podium in nearly all events, according to a release. Ultimately, Aria and V-dara emerged as the overall winners of the 35th Annual Housekeeping Olympics.

Call me crazy, but I believe many of them probably missed a spot. I think we need a rematch for that one.
I mean, that does take skill, doesn’t it?

Quite frankly, I appreciate the hustle. And I think this is the only sport where men and women can fairly compete.
Asking for a friend: how does one get tickets to an event like this? My friend is very curious.
That being said, will you be attending next year’s Hospitality Olympics? Because I just might.
