Target sold a Halloween costume but was forced to remove it. The reason they did this is that leftist activists claimed it was racist. However, I just looked up the term “racist” in the dictionary, and this certainly is not it. Nonetheless, when people don't have real problems, they make them up. This is precisely why BLM activists are still protesting the costume, because they believe they need to get to the bottom of why it was made available in the first place, despite the “issue” already being resolved.

It really is not that deep. At best, we are talking about an ugly, cheap piece of fabric. This has nothing to do with racism. This is so pathetic it is comical.

According to NBC:

Target apologized Monday and said it had pulled a Halloween costume from sale depicting a circus clown that critics said evoked blackface and minstrel shows.

The story should have never existed in the first place because it's a stupid costume and no one genuinely cares.

The product, sold as the “Kids’ Glows Under Blacklight Circus Clown Halloween Costume,” prompted a backlash on social media, with some consumers saying it resembled a racist caricature.

“As a company, we know we got this wrong, and we are deeply sorry,” Target said in a statement. “The costume is offensive and should never have been part of our assortment. It is no longer available for sale.”

The fact that the people refuse to drop the story tells you all you need to know. This is also what we call first-world issues. Because again, they have no problems, so they just make these things up as they go along. To call this embarrassing would be an understatement.
