Watch: Greta Thunberg Once Again "Arrested" By Police, This Time Over Norwegian Reindeers
The world's strongest climate change warrior, Greta Thunberg, has yet again been detained by police for her heroism. It's unclear yet whether this incident was also staged, but the circumstances look pretty similar. Although this time there's no Antifa. Always a plus.
Our climate heroine was in Norway protesting the placement of 151 wind turbines on reindeer pastures owned by Sami herders. I, for one, did not know until this moment that reindeer pastures existed. But they sound pretty fantastic, so I understand Greta's frustration.
In 2021, Norway’s supreme court ruled that two wind farms violated Sami rights under international conventions. Despite this ruling, the turbines are still operating.
It is quite hilarious that Greta and co. are now even protesting "green" forms of energy, like these wind turbines. They're upset because "a transition to green energy should not come at the expense of Indigenous rights." They just can't ever be happy, can they?
Greta was carried away by police, as the protests blocked access to several government buildings. She told Reuters before her removal, "We want to make it very clear that it is the Norwegian state that is committing the real crime here, for violating human rights." And reindeer rights. Can't forget those.

Afterward, Greta returned and blocked the entrance to the climate and environment ministry along with other protestors, until she was removed again.
To be completely honest, I think I might be with Greta on this one. Those wind turbines are downright hideous. Who wouldn't want reindeer pastures instead of fields of giant metal bird murderers?

I mean, look at it. It's like Santa's workshop. And according to the herders, the sight and sound of giant wind turbines frighten their reindeer, and "disrupt age-old traditions".
So, this might actually be one point for Greta. But mostly for the reindeer.
