It was understood that Chicago was (figuratively) America's crime capital. Then Donald Trump got elected and went to do something about it, and we're supposed to pretend that Chicago isn't violent. On what I'm sure is a totally unrelated note, the Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, who looks like he's a chalupa away from a triple bypass, thinks he's running for president in 2025.

He went on Fox News and tried to claim that Chicago is not the murder capital of America. Then Bret Baier showed him a map.

PRITZKER: It is fake news to say that anyone gets murdered in Chicago.

BAIER: Here is a chart showing that more people get murdered in Chicago than in any other major city in America.

PRITZKER: Yeah, well, if you are going to bring up things like "statistics" and "data," I guess... wait, I thought I was on CNN.

It wasn't a good night for Prtzker. He also got cornered on ICE, repeating the same BS leftist talking points and protecting illegal immigrants. Yet when Baier suggested going on for a ride along with agents, the governor perished at the thought.

Crime and illegal immigration are problems... until Donald Trump wants to do something about it.

I'd be shocked if any of the current 2028 "candidates" end up being the nominee. As they all jump from the latest Trump thing to the latest Trump thing, feigning outrage along the way, there will be a new name who isn't being talked about yet, doing the opposite.

Or, at least in theory. John Fetterman does the opposite, and the lunatic left is looking to primary him. Maybe Pritzker will be the nominee. But he still looks like a nincompoop here.
