Media Claimed Trump Admin Deported A “Teen With No Criminal Record,” Turns Out They Missed A Huge Detail
When the media claims things like, “American citizen children got deported,” or a “father of three got sent to an El Salvador prison,” the intent is not to get things right or even to correct the record with the truth. The point is to run with an extremely misleading claim, which essentially makes it a lie by omission, and wait for the damage to be done. And even when the evidence becomes so overwhelming, so much so to the point it’s undeniable, that is when the left has moved on to its next poster child.
In the latest installment of this, the media claimed a teenager was sent to an El Salvador prison, despite having no previous offense. However, it turns out that “no criminal record” actually meant "TdA terrorist and Venezuelan national" with a criminal history that “includes possession of a firearm on school grounds and ammunition feeding devices."
TdA terrorist and Venezuelan national, Merwil Alberto Gutierrez Flores, has been deported to CECOT.

The fact that these are the best people the left can find tells you all you need to know about the reality of illegal immigration.
According to Rolling Stone:
Wilmer Gutiérrez last saw his son the morning of Feb. 24. Later that day, his nephew called to tell him that 19-year-old Merwil Gutiérrez had been arrested just steps from their shared apartment in the Bronx. "The officers grabbed him and two other boys right at the entrance to our building," he recalled. "One said, ‘No, he's not the one,' like they were looking for someone else. But the other said, ‘Take him anyway.'"
Merwil was among the 238 Venezuelans deported to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, according to Documented, a newsroom reporting on immigrant communities in New York City. He has no criminal record, neither in Venezuela nor the U.S, per the outlet, and does not have any tattoos, which is one of the criteria ICE officers use to claim migrants are members of the Tren de Aragua (TDA) gang.
Well, it turns out that that could not be further from the truth. However, whatever damage this story was intended to cause has already been done. Fortunately, only the most objectively naive people likely bought it.
William Parra, an attorney at Inmigración Al Día, the law firm representing his case, says Merwil's detention was unjustified as he has an immigration court case pending with his father and was taking the proper steps to formalize their situation. "Merwil was detained for hanging out with friends and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. ICE was not looking for him, nor is there any evidence whatsoever that Merwil was in any gang," said Parra.
So, when the lawyer claims there is no evidence, it turns out that that means a “criminal history [that] includes possession of a firearm on school grounds and ammunition feeding devices.” Who would have thought?
Nonetheless, it’s stories like this that prove exactly why the media has become largely irrelevant, and why they will continue to remain so. And the sooner the left realizes that this is what the people voted for, the better off everyone will be. Until then, we shall wait for their next innocent illegal, who will likely not be so innocent.
