The mainstream media refuses to believe Ted Cruz is Hispanic in the first place. To the left, if you're hispanic but not a liberal, you're not a real hispanic. It's called racism, and liberals have it in droves. But when the media does acknowledge Cruz's immigrant heritage it's to try and get him with a gotcha question. CNN tried it. They failed miserably.

“See that’s why it’s important to define what it is we’re fighting,” Cruz said.

“If my father were part of a theocratic and political movement like radical Islamism, that promotes murdering anyone who doesn’t share your extreme faith, or forcibly converting them, then it would make perfect sense.”

When the GOP presidential hopeful noted that Syrian Muslims are also being persecuted by Islamic State militants, Bash asked whether they too should be allowed into the United States.

“Syrian Muslim refugees should be resettled in the Middle East in majority-Muslim countries,” he said.

Seriously, stop trying to get Ted Cruz with gotcha questions. First of all, he knows they're coming. He most likely reads all the stupid Facebook memes about him (which is probably where the question about his father being a "refugee" came from).

Second, he's smarter than you media types. Accept it and move on. We know you're sitting there in your little cubes thinking: "I know. I'll ask him about his dad being a refugee and about what a hypocrite he is for opposing these refugees in a situation that is totally different and has nothing to do with his dad. That will get him."

No. No it will not. But hey, thanks for trying. We love watching Cruz issue bitchslaps.
