Did Chris Pratt Tweet Support of Guardians Director James Gunn?

Brodigan
July 23, 2018

On Friday, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn was fired from Disney. For tweets that some entertainment websites are referring to as "controversial topics...such as pedophilia and rape." Disney fired him so quickly, both Roseanne Barr and Chris Hardwick looked at the news and said, "Damn." The tweets were unearthed as sort of what the kids call a "clap back" after Gunn took Ben Shapiro tweets out of context during the Mark Duplass fiasco. Side note, whoever invented social media should go sit in the corner and think about what he did.

Guardians star Chris Pratt didn't really comment on the situation per say. Though he did choose a pretty specific Bible quote.

“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters. Let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.” JAMES 1:19 🙏♥️

I 100% agree with Pratt. The rub is leftists like Gunn who don't seem to understand or care about decency. The left has made it clear they are wanting to bully and destroy people's lives over out-of-context tweets. Just to score two or three extra political points. They abuse the community guidelines to silence, shame, and "other" people knowing the people who create the guidelines are on their side.

By the same token, all of us at LwC don't really do the faux outrage thing. Especially over something as silly as tweets from over five years ago. Personally, I think I'm most in agreement with Erick Erickson:

I'm just not losing sleep if leftists get a taste of their own medicine. Or have to live in fear a little that it could happen to them too. Multiple things can be true at once. Mobs are bad. But it's kinda fun watching the same people who supported the mob get turned on by the mob. Okay? Okay.
