According to CNN anchor Kasie Hunt, everybody and their grandmas have committed mortgage fraud. But if that were true, why is it not true? I have yet to find a single individual who has committed such fraud — probably because it’s a lie.

As many of these people once said, “No one is above the law.” So it’s baffling why so many on the left are now acting as if they never repeated that phrase to justify Letitia James going after the then-former president.

According to Fox News:

In a statement, James said the charges were part of President Donald Trump's effort to impose "political retribution at any cost."

"His decision to fire a United States Attorney who refused to bring charges against me — and replace them with someone who is blindly loyal not to the law, but to the president — is antithetical to the bedrock principles of our country," James said. "This is the time for leaders on both sides of the aisle to speak out against this blatant perversion of our system of justice.

"I stand strongly behind my office’s litigation against the Trump Organization," she added. "We conducted a two-year investigation based on the facts and evidence – not politics. Judges have upheld the trial court’s finding that Donald Trump, his company, and his two sons are liable for fraud."

It’s astonishing that she claims to “stand strongly behind the litigation against the Trump Organization,” when she literally campaigned on the idea of opposing him. In fact, she even announced that she would go into the office every single day just to sue him.

And if that’s not political retribution, I’m not sure what is.

Additionally, earlier this year, a New York appeals court threw out the $465 million civil penalty that Letitia James initiated against Trump last year.

I think all the evidence shows just how hypocritical this woman truly is. And unfortunately for her, that’s nothing more than a personal problem.
