Everything Chris said is wrong. Everything. The Second Amendment is very clear that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The only reason I believe the Second Amendment is clear about the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed is because the Second Amendment explicitly states the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Third thing, the American people's right to keep and bear arms (which isn't to be infringed) is necessary to the security of a free state. America is a thing because we used our guns to force the tea-swilling, British control freaks to take their snooty accents back across the Atlantic. Twice.

Since the Founding Fathers weren't too keen on a tyrannical government full of power-hungry, micro-managing gits who can't make a decent dessert to save their crappy teeth, they wrote the Second Amendment to ensure the American people were never lorded over by power-hungry, micro-managing gits.
