Leftist Celebs Make Video Supporting Planned Parenthood. Omit Important Detail...
If you've been keeping up, you'll know the new guy in office isn't as fond of baby-killing as his predecessor. He's also trying to cut some of the fat from the budget. So, the left's favorite non-provider of mammograms, Planned Parenthood, is up on the chopping block. Naturally, the left is in a hissy fit over the matter. They've deployed a legion of celebs to fight back...
Senate Republicans released on Thursday the healthcare proposal that they hid from the public and their colleagues for more than a month, revealing that it's actually pretty similar to the House's version approved back in May. Namely, both plans to repeal and replace Obamacare involve defunding Planned Parenthood.
Well, Jon Hamm and other celeb activists want you to do something about it.
Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter partnered with NowThis to bring together celebs who support Planned Parenthood. Hamm, Jennifer Lawrence, Aidy Bryant, Brie Larson, Amy Poehler, Padma Lakshmi, Gloria Steinem, and others made a video telling everyone to call their senators and tell them to oppose any and all attempts to defund Planned Parenthood.
"This is nothing more than a blatantly political attempt to do whatever it takes to attack women's health and rights and take healthcare away from the people who need it most," they say in the video.
Save Planned Parenthood?
Notice the little detail the celebs forgot to mention? You know, when they listed the services Planned Parenthood performs? They left out the part about the doctors hacking and sucking unborn tykes from their mothers' wombs with a souped-up vacuum cleaner. I suppose it must have just slipped their minds.
Anyone who isn't blackout drunk on the left's Kool-Aid knows abortion is Planned Parenthood's bread and butter. But, if the celebs were to tell the truth about Planned Parenthood being a combo butcher shop and baby parts store, they wouldn't win over many new followers.
So, the left speaks in code, throwing everything under the umbrella term of "women's healthcare." With the added bonus of painting detractors as "anti-women's healthcare." Admittedly, it's a pretty effective strategy.
There's nothing surprising about seeing these professional liars lie about Planned Parenthood. They're using their star power in the hope you won't take notice of their deception. The Planned Parenthood they mention in the video is a far cry from the Planned Parenthood of reality.
Theatricality and deception are powerful agents to the uninitiated. Yeah, we're not buying it.
While we're on the subject of leftist celebs...
