SCOTUS has decided to take up a case that could decide whether or not the rest of the country would succumb to the same conditions as San Francisco.

California is home to the largest population of degenerates living in tents on public property. These are often referred to as “homeless encampments”. But the dumb thing about that is that the reason people live like that is not that they lack a “house”. These “unhoused” individuals live like that by choice. There are more than enough resources to place them in government housing, but they don’t want to do that because they can’t do drugs there. So rather than be sober and “housed” they have chosen to live in tent cities.

Many places have anti-camping ordinances. So it is beyond asinine that State officials are pretending as if their hands are tied and they can’t just go and clear these things out.

According to Business Insider:

“In what is an unusual situation, a consortium of liberal politicians had asked the conservative-leaning Supreme Court to overturn a lower court ruling that has kept them from sweeping public homeless encampments.

On Friday, the Supreme Court agreed to weigh in on the issue, a decision that was backed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom and other Democratic leaders in the West who are seeking more latitude to address homeless populations that have become more prevalent in the region in recent years — especially since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is one of the most significant cases involving the rights of homeless individuals to be taken up by the Supreme Court in recent decades, and it could have huge ramifications on the processes by which Western states approach the ever-present homelessness crisis.

The Supreme Court agreed to reexamine the case of Johnson v. City of Grants Pass, where the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit deemed it unconstitutional for cities to punish homeless residents for staying on public property if they lacked access to shelter alternatives.”

I understand the argument that lacking a shelter should not be a crime. But again, that is not the issue here. These encampments are extremely gross. No sober or sane person would EVER live like that.

The issue is that the vast majority are high on dope while the rest are extremely mentally ill. And the extent of the mental illness that these individuals deal with is not the same as the average liberal living with anxiety disorder. These people pose a serious safety threat to society.

So while liberals pretend they are being compassionate by not putting dangerously ill people in institutions to get them the help they need and to protect society, they act like it is better to just have them run a muck like The Purge.

Claiming that this case revolves around “ the rights of homeless individuals” is absurd. Homeless people are not magically some new class that gets special rights, at least it should not be that way. They are already afforded extreme special treatment from things like food stamps to free housing IF THEY WANT IT, which they don’t. The Constitution already says “All men are created equal,” so why on earth are we suddenly allowing these people to be rewarded for doing nothing but helping progressives destroy cities?

I don't understand why California is making up excuses as if they can't do anything. When a Chinese dictator came into town they cleaned up San Francisco overnight. This is just pathetic.

Progressives created this mess and they don't have an excuse to justify why they have done nothing to end it. But they can’t have their circus without a tent. That is probably what sums all this up.
