An Alleged Serial Killer (Who's Black) is Suspected of Killing FIVE White Men. Um, Media?
Buried somewhere in the news is an article on a black man accused of killing a gaggle of white dudes. Haven't you heard of it? No. That's because the mainstream media think hate crimes only happen to folks with more melanin (see WATCH: Hard Hitting Video Highlights the Dangers of ‘Blue Racism’ and Feminist Professors to College Students: Stop Citing White Males Because Racism). White is not a race, thus they do not matter. #WokeLife
Welcome to Missouri, ya'll:
A 22-year-old black man in Kansas City who once said he wanted to “kill all white people” has been charged with murdering two middle-aged white men and is suspected of killing three more.
Fredrick Demond Scott was charged Tuesday in the murders of Steven Gibbons and John Palmer.
Investigators also suspect Scott in three other killings — David Lenox on Feb. 27, Timothy Rice on April 4, and Mike Darby on May 18.
All of the men are white males between the ages of 54 and 67. According to KMBC, three of the men were walking their dogs on Indian Creek Trail or close to it.
Investigators have yet to determine if the killings were racially motivated, but Scott’s past comments about white people raise the question. And as The Kansas City Star notes, the number and pattern of the killings would make Scott a serial killer by FBI standards.
Something so obvious shouldn't require much "determining." Examples: you have "yet to determine" if you'll watch The Office for the thirteenth time. You have "yet to determine" if the month-old cheese in your ice box is edible. You have "yet to determine" if you're going to circle that ant on your kitchen counter with soap. You do NOT have "yet to determine" whether a guy who says he wants to kill white people is racially motivated. Use your head noodles, here.
Let's play a game. If Fredrick Demond Scott, the suspect, was an old white man, and his five alleged victims were young black men, what kind of reaction would the media have, pray tell? If you answered "We'd be beaten with daily updates from every news outlet from MSNBC to AOL.com news" then you'd be correct. Treat yo'self.
Yet that's not what's happened. Even with Fredrick Demond Scott having admitted he wanted to "kill white people" the police are scratching their head. Like every politician in the UK when someone shouts "Allahu Akbar."
Sometime the motive is right in front of you. That is, unless, it's not part of a narrative.
